I fell into a deep hole of Madness.

Can’t accuse them boys of making spectacular videos back then, but the music is still top pair top kicker (phew, got some poker content now)

In case you don’t know Madness, they became very big in the beginning of the 80’s, when Britain was full of Thatcher and skinheads and striking miners.

Skinheads weren’t nazi scum back then, and they would skank all night long to the sound of ska, the predecessor to reggae, which has a slower beat.

I wasn’t a skinhead, but I skanked a lot myself, was in my mid-teens and identified with everything that was anti-something. Fresh home from a couple of months in Africa, and I was mostly into reggae at that time. But I’ve always dug Madness, and still do.
